We have had a bit of fun recently. A few weeks after I got home from my mission we bought some chickens, and in the past few weeks they have started laying eggs. We get some brown eggs, but we also get green ones. I though it was pretty cool to get Easter Eggs that we didn't even have to dye. We are trying to get our chickens to lay some more exciting colors, but they don't seem to listen. Here's a pic. I put a normal store bought egg to show the difference in size and color. Its been a lot of fun going out to find eggs everyday.
I went with my dad up to Snowflake on conference weekend. We went to spend some time with my grandpa, and also to pick up an old truck that we bought from him. It gets to be Marc's wheels before his mission. He just has to learn how to drive stick. Heck, I don't even know how to drive stick.
Also another funny moment. Zane, the dog that became my replacement when I left on my mission, got a hair cut this weekend. My mom hired some lady to come do it. Well, I came home to find this. What is that hideous thing on his neck. Kind of pathetic for a boy dog, I know. I told my mom that even if he was fixed, he still needed to maintain some sort of manhood. But she thought it was "cute." I hate that dreaded word. Well, that has been my life recently. Nothing too exciting, but hey, that's how it goes.
Hooray for Spring Break! Mine was pretty good. I spent a lot of time working at the beginning of the week, so that I could spend a lot of time playing at the end of the week. We went as a family to San Diego. It was lots of fun. We went to the beach.
It was pretty cold! On Friday we went to SeaWorld. That place is so much fun to me. For some reason it makes me feel like a little kid again. Me and my brothers sat in the soak zone for everything, and subsequently, we were soaked most of the day. We were also a lot more pleased with the Shamu show this time. Last time we sat in the second row, because you wanted to get soaked, but the only thing that got soaked was our butts.
This time was much better as you can see!
We went back to the beach the next day, and walked along it, and then came home.
I would say the trip was an overall success. We all had a great time.

Dang, that's only 2 of them. Despite all this, I am happy. I don't know why. I had an impression this last week that I have everything I need in my life to be happy right now. That was a bit unsettling, because there are lots of things I think I need, but it did bring peace knowing that I'm where I need to be. Not that I still don't want some of those things, and not that I should stop trying to get some of those things, but for now, everything is where it should be. So life is happy!
Here's a poem a wrote while I was on my mission. It came to me all at once during a sacrament meeting. I could hardly write it down fast enough. Hope you enjoy!
